Business DSL
TelSolutions telecommunications consultants can set you up with all of your business DSL needs.
A digital subscriber line, DSL, can be a good low cost alternative to other forms of high speed internet access. That is if you can get it. In most populated metropolitan areas, getting DSL is not an issue. However, in more rural areas, it can be difficult to get. Most forms of DSL can only be accessed up to 18,000 feet from a central office (CO). That is a little bit more than three miles. IDSL, a form of DSL is capable of reaching distances of more than 18,000 feet, but it's speed is only 144k. That is almost three times the speed of dial up at 56k, but probably not even close to what anyone needs to conduct business these days. If you are not within 18,000 ADSL, Asynchronous digital subscriber line, and SDSL, Synchronous digital subsriber line, will be unavailable to you.
If you are able to get DSL service you have several options. ADSL comes in speeds of: 768k x 128k1.5 Mb x 128k1.5 MB x 384k1.5 MB x 768k3 MB x 384k3 MB x 768k6 MB x 768kSDSK comes in speeds of: 192k x 192k 384k x 684k 768k x 768k 1 MB x 1 MB 1.1 MB x 1.1 MBUnlike a

DSL does not give you a true dedicated connection. You would be sharing the network with other users, so your speed could be effected. However, if costs are a factor, or if you are just looking for some redundancy in case your main high speed internet access does go down, then DSL is a good alternative.
